Hello people! Since Christmas is only 18 days away, I decided to come up with some cute Christmas treats you can offer to your family and friends. Christmas for me is all about chocolate and strawberry (my favorite combination). Hope you will enjoy! Brownies-strawberry Christmas Hat Here is what you will need: Your favorite brownie recipe (Here is mine ) About 20 fresh strawberries Whipped cream Round cookie cutter Piping bag with round tip Method: Bake your brownies as instructed. Leave them to cool. Start by cutting your brownies using your cookie cutter.  Whip your whipping cream using either an electric mixer or a hand one. Make sure it is fluffy and doubles in size. M auritian Goodies: Napolitaine What is Napolitaine? Napolitaine is a very popular pastry biscuit in Mauritius . It is basically 2 shortcrust pastry biscuits sandwiched together with strawberry jam in the middle and then glazed with an icing.  I still remember long time ago I used to go to the nearby shop to buy some napolitaine and I would enjoy it while watching movies and sipping my tea *good memories*. Below is the recipe of this fabulous biscuit. I would highly recommend you to bake it if you never tasted it. It would be my pleasure to bake some for you guys (if we live close of course) cause I really want to promote Mauritian pastries as well. So let me know how you liked it and if possible post pictures :) It can be really fun to make especially if you have kids or nieces/nephews. Kids can decorate the napolitaines as they want, using edible glitters, sprinkles, food coloring or even draw some smiley faces using edible colour markers. They could also be cut in differ

As we all know, Cheesecake is basically a layered cake, where the bottom layer is either made of graham crackers, digestive biscuits or even cookies, pastry or sponge cake ( I should try to make it with soaked boudoirs, like a Tiramisu-style cheesecake). On top of the base comes the cream cheese, flavored and gently mixed with heavy whipped cream and finally on top, you commonly have fruits, whipped cream, nuts, jelly and so on.  There are two different types of Cheesecake - baked ones or no-bake cheesecake.  The way of preparing a baked Cheesecake is almost exactly the same as a no bake one. The only difference is that you should mix your cream cheese with eggs and the chosen flavor and of course bake it! However, the difference of a bake cheesecake is

Brief intro!

Hello All! I don't know how you landed on by blog but I'm glad you're here now! So I guess I'm gonna introduce myself; I am Diana, living currently in Canada but originally from a tiny island named Mauritius. What made me create this blog is definitely my passion for baking; I just loooooove baking French pastries (and of course eat them). I had the chance to take some baking/cooking lessons and came to learn different types of techniques to make your favorite cake/pastry/desert successful. So I would like to share my passion with you. Tell me what you think about the blog and yeah, enjoy guys!! xoxo
